Project: BombBro

During the past month, I have had the greatest opportunity to work with artists and developers to make BombBro, a 3D adventure game with friends and enemies! Working with this group has opened my eyes to the possibilities of working with a company, and if my future teammates are as great as my team now, I know we will exceed expectations.

My role in the BombBro development is a 3D Character Artist. Communicating with the other character artist proved useful as we strived to maintain the same styles with main heroes and enemies. In week 1, I did the primary blockouts for my characters, BombPop and the Ice Sentinel. After getting feedback from my team, I changed the silhouette of the Ice Sentinel to prepare for week 2. In week 2, I added functionality by doing the UVs and rigging for BombPop and the Ice Sentinel. While rigging isn't something that is learned quickly, I feel that I did a good job considering the timeframe. Finally, during week 3, I got to add textures and emissives to my characters, finally bringing them to life.

This is my finished product for BombPops and the Ice Sentinel! Looking back, I would've loved to have done a more realistic ice material on the Ice Sentinel. With a touch of transparency, I think it would've pulled the idea together entirely.

This is my UV & Rig set up for the Ice Sentinel and BombPops. With help, I was able to get poses set and UVs critiqued to meet the end goal! The team worked tirelessly with me for this goal. BombPop's rig was made by Kelly Wergin

This is the blockout phase for BombPops and the Ice Sentinel, as you can see, I changed the base shape of the Ice Sentinel to be more thick and armor-like. This relied heavily on time management and communication with my team.
